This was a 2006 re-release of the original vinyl recording that Chris Stamey and the dB's released as an EP in 1986.This re-release includes extra songs, including the original song "Christmas Time is Here" Which Roman Candle wrote with Thad Cockrell.

This song, produced by Roman Candle, Thad, and Chris Stamey received a four-star track review from Pitchfork in Dec. 2006

Roman Candle also produced a track on this record for Keegan DeWitt, from his "& the sparrows" record called "Christmas Lights."

This record was recorded for the most part at our triple cove studio (Wilkesboro NC) and in Keegan's apartment (Brooklyn, NY -- 6th + Lorimer right above the thai restaurant)

This record by ex-dB's Chris Stamey and Peter Holsapple, features members of roman candle playing both bass and drums.

Roman Candle has toured as Chris Stamey's backing band on several occasions, and were fortunate enough to be working with Chris when he began writing several of his compositions that ended up on this record. 

Skip wrote a response to seeing Chris and Peter live on the most recent trip through Nashville (July 2009).
