Chris Stamey and Modern Recording, his
home studio, where much of The Wee Hours
Revue was recorded/remixed.

HARP: Of all the projects you've done at Modern
(Recording) what are some of your favorites?

STAMEY: One Thing I've been working on for
the past year is this young band,
Roman Candle. I think they've been called
pop savants. They made this record in their
basement that's incredibly cool, although not
incredibly hi-fi. They came ot me to
remix it here, and we ended up doing what
i call agressive remxing, in that we recut a
lot of it. It was originally recorded on a Roland
2480, and we're kind of bringing it up to speed.
A/B-ing the indie release and this remake is
pretty interesting.
